Sexual harassment can create tension, reduce productivity, effect employee retention and morale while potentially leading to liability. Your responsibility is recognizing, preventing and correcting workplace sexual harassment and retaliation.
- Define what Sexual Harassment is and is not
- Provide specific examples of conduct that constitute Quid Quo Pro and Hostile Work Environment
- Discuss why harassment prevention is important in the workplace
- Identify your organization's current culture towards harassment
- Identify steps to be taken if sexual harassment occurs
The class will be taught by Jodi Traas, MS, CSRM, CPSI, AOI, Senior Risk Management Consultant with Aegis Corporation, which administers the County Mutual and Community Insurance Corporation.
Jodi's duties include providing training programs on liability and workers' compensation issues for both administrative staff and employees. These trainings vary from liability issues such as workplace bullying and diversity/sensitivity training to employee safety training topics such as chainsaw safety, personal protective equipment and hazard communication. Other responsibilities include implementing, directing and participating in safety and risk management committees. Identification of loss trends and providing solutions to eliminate exposures to the staff and public are an essential part of Jodi's responsibilities.
